A Building Permit is considered expired if construction has not begun or has begun, but has been inactive for an extended period of time in South Florida. If you discover (or the city does) that your permit has expired, it is important for you to renew it, without a building permit you will not be able to complete the inspection of your project.
Fortunately, there are simple ways to fix the problem. The first step is to visit our office and meet with our specialists so we can establish a project status; this will give us a starting point. The next steps include us helping you to get your permits reactivated and the remaining inspections (if any) completed as quickly as possible and getting your project done.
